Sunny once
He had it sunny once, skies were blue and bright,
Told a little lie, thought it’d stay outta sight.
But the thing about secrets, they don’t let you go,
They wrap around tight, and you reap what you sow.
Tried to play it cool, like he didn’t care,
But the truth kept creepin’, caught him unaware.
He’d smile and dance, but it wasn’t the same,
’Cause deep inside, he carried the blame.
Then came the heartache, like a cold wind’s bite,
A chill in the air that crept in overnight.
He built a wall of anger, thought it’d make him strong,
But all it did was prove him wrong.
Now he’s just a shadow, of the man he used to be,
Blamin’ himself, but there’s no remedy.
He knows the storm, and yeah, it’s true,
It started with the first lie he knew.
